Landscape - Carmel RIver Trail and Ventana Double Cone Trail

I went backpacking in the Big Sur Wilderness Area again. I had a little more time on this adventure, due to memorial day weekend. However, I only came up with the same number of photos at the end that I am going to post here. The first is not too far from the trail-head going to Hiding Camp. The second is on my way down Ventana Double Cone trail (I skipped the summit due to shear exhaustion from the Puerto Suelo trail).

Landscape - Central Coast of California

This is just one quick photo of the beach just north of Castroville. I went down there with a friend of mine to experience the artichoke festival. The day was nice enough that we pulled off for a quick stop at the beach, which is where I took this shot.

Landscape - Little Sur Trail

It has been a while since I have posted here. I have been doing a lot of freelancing work (not in photography) that has taken up a lot of my time. But, I now have a full-time job, so I am planning on getting out a couple of weekends a month to capture the landscape again.

Last weekend, I went south the the Little Sur Trail. I started from Old Coast Road, trying to get to Pico Blanco Public Camp from the south. There were a few too many deadfalls, and an unclear trail, which led to me camping not too far from the trail head. It was still pleasant enough. These two photos were taken the next day on my short hike out through the morning fog.

Product - Random Items

I have talked to a few people about doing product photography, but I didn't have anything to show. Just before I moved away from Portland, I took a few shots with my cousin acting as assistant. If I have some more free time, I'll expand my portfolio, but here's something for now.

These are all "found objects", otherwise known as things I own or picked up around the house.

Concert - The Horde and the Harem

I haven't been getting out as much in the past few months to take photos, but when my friends The Horde and the Harem come through town, I am more than happy to listen to some good music, dance, and snap a few shots. This past Sunday, the band finished up a west coast tour at Lola's Room as part of the Portland Bridge Festival.
