iPhone - Getting Caught Up pt. 2

The series is two part. Here are the rest of the photos from my phone. Since I still have a terrible memory for my camera, and I like walking unencumbered, I am sure that there will be more phone photos in the future.

This first shot is of a bristlecone pine in Inyo National Forest. The entrance to the trail is off of the most fun road I have driven in my life, Highway 168 going out of Big Pine, California.

The building in the following photo is in Chicago somewhere. I took a picture of it after meeting up with a friend for a beer a few blocks south of wherever this is.

These concert shots helped me get the gig with SPIN, which you can see by clicking the links below.

SPIN 1
SPIN 2

Both of these photos are from the Lifestyles Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio. The first is of their indoor stage when Vampire Weekend was playing. The second is of their outdoor venue with The Flaming Lips rocking it out that night.

Concert - Big Pati and Polynesian Dancing at Club 915

I finally got information regarding the last minute concert and dance shoot I did in mid-December. Now I can post a few photos. Check them out below.

Landscape - California Travels

Here are a few photos from California that I shot on my SLR. The first photo here is not nearly as good as I originally planned. While driving down the 101, I saw a breathtaking scene, where billowing fog was whirling in the deep orange glow of the setting sun. By the time I caught my breath and determined that this constituted enough of an emergency to allow stopping on the side of the mountainous freeway, I was a valley too far down the road and thirty seconds too late to catch the light that I wanted. I had just enough time to fire off a couple of maladjusted shots before it all sank into a blue-grey, hence the black and white final rendering. Oh well, at least I got to see it, even if I can't show anyone else. The other three are from in and around San Francisco. Much less of a story there.

iPhone - Getting Caught Up pt. 1

There are times when I decide not to lug around my SLR (or forget to bring it) and have thus used my iPhone whenever there was something that I wanted to capture. This is part one in a two-perhaps-three-part series of getting caught up with photos in my camera roll. Since I tweeted yesterday that I would post some photos from my most recent California trip, I am starting from now and working my way backward, until I hit the beginning. Here goes nothing.

The first three photos are from early September 2010. They were shot at a beach in the redwoods.

The below photo was taken while I was doing location scouting for the shoot I did with Drew.

The last four photos are from the last days of 2010. I went south of San Francisco down Highway 1 with a few friends. We stopped at a few of the pullouts to walk along the beaches and rock formations.
